Over the course of 2015 I had the great honour to work closely with percussionist Joby Burgess on a new work for vibraphone. On 4 dates throughout the year we met at his studio in Sandy and crashed through various ideas, until a piece began to emerge… ‘Freeze-Frame’ was commissioned through Sound and Music’s ‘Portfolio’ scheme, and will be premiered by Joby Burgess @ National Portrait Gallery, London, on 8th Jan 2016.
