I’m enormously pleased to be able to count myself amongst Sound and Music’s ‘New Voices’ composers for the period 2014-2015. New Voices consists of all the selected Portfolio and Embedded composers from the last two years, what SaM deem to be “some of the most exciting early to mid-career composers working in Britain today”, and there are certainly a lot of very cool names in there that I’m more than happy to see mine amongst!
In addition to the respective Portfolio and Embedded concerts which will be coming up over the next few months, the Google Cultural Institute will also be hosting an online exhibition of New Voices works in July this year, so keep your eyes peeled for that. You can check out the New Voices site here –

I have also been invited to write a blog documenting the process of composing under the Portfolio scheme for London-based choir MusArc, which will be published on the SaM Sampler Blog page in the coming months. More on that to come…
