Strongly inspired by a number of singers that I knew at the time who were writing wonderful songs (and most notably my friend Gunes Omer, who was a Christian mystic and a songwriter), I decided to return to old ways (I wrote hundreds of songs between the ages of 9 to 21), to a craft which I had begun to miss dearly. This was the first of five songs I was to write over this period, and was recorded with Gunes Omer for the album ‘Dragon’ over the Winter of 2008.
